The Lodge 12 "cast-iron grill works almost all non-stick Teflon pan, alum. You have more time to gain weight gradually, to ensure proper cooking temp hot, hot pancakes, etc., until what you can not hold the handle to fire short and medium - if you use hot plates. It is not common shocks, such as alum.
